In this Issue: We have some general News from All Aboard and a Board Games Evening reminder.
Christchurch Earthquake
Our thoughts go out to the people in Christchurch after the recent disaster. We have been in contact with our suppliers in Christchurch and thankfully all of their people are okay, although one couple have lost their home. We have had a number of refugees in the shop who have left for a break and they were all so thankful to be away from the endless tremors, our best wishes are with you.
Children’s Games
Our focus over the last few weeks has been Children's Games and we have been developing a new brochure with some of our favourite children's games highlighted, now available in the shop. We have had shipments of children's games from Orchard games, Haba games, Gamewright games, Think Fun, Ravensburger, Hasbro, Chimp & Zee and Playroom Games arriving lately. So our Children's Games shelves are looking full and exciting with lots of excellent choices.
Families welcome at the games nights.
We have been asked if children are able to attend the games nights on the 3rd Thursday of the month and we have a number of teenagers who come along with their families. Our son Jayden has been coming since he was 11 years and has enjoyed the evenings, so we would love to see more families coming along.
We can help you choose the right game.
We often have customers complain that it is too difficult to choose and we are happy
to get phone calls or emails asking for suggestions for your child. If you tell us
about them we can recommend suitable games that parents and children can enjoy together.

The benefits for children playing boardgames include learning to follow rules, learning to win and lose, taking turns, patience, fine motor skills, listening skills. While helping develop social interactions necessary for future successes, games can also help children build a strong foundation for learning, strengthening understanding of number operations, literacy, scientific principles and world geography. Investing in games for your family to enjoy together just makes so much sense.
Sylvanian Family Club
Before Christmas we began stocking the Sylvanian Families range and have been very
excited with how popular it has been. We would like to invite children and adults
to join our Sylvanian Family club. Every member will receive a membership card, members-
and the latest Sylvanian catalogue. When we have 50
members we will begin holding special members-
